I never had the pleasure of meeting Lady Virginia, but I can tell by the video that she was an incredible woman with an incredible family. My prayer for all of you is that your family can help each other through difficult times and carry on the legacy she built. Anna and Chuck Carlson

My Inspiration
2006-08-11

Everyone loved Ginnie - such a delight to be around. I recall a time when her children were tiny tots - She and Rudy had special knicknames for each of them which brought about lots of laughter for all. No matter how busy her life became, she never forgot old friends. To Know her is to Love her. God Bless her family. She called me "Little Mother".

Forever more
2006-08-11

There is never enough words to express the appreciation of having been part of history being made in the world of health and fitness. Virginia's pioneer spirit and determination to orchestrate women's fitness is legendary. The greatness of Holiday Spa and Las Vegas Athletic Clubs owns a great deal to her. You started and ended your life with dignity. Thanks for showing us the way again. God Bless, Bill and Vicky St. George

Dear Rudy and Family
2006-08-11

I was so saddened and in disbelief to learn of the loss of Virginia. She was such a dear, dear friend, a wonderful mother, and a great business lady. Knowing Virginia this past half century has brought much joy, comradery and happiness to me and so many that knew her. I am so glad I was able to participate in your and Virginia's 50th anniversary party and see her smiling, healthy and enjoying life. She will be greatly missed!!! My love and sympathy, Jerry Kahn

The Neighbors Across The Lake
2006-08-10

The Smith home across the lake always seemed like a busy, happy home. We didn't talk much but we waved a lot and exchanged "Tarzan" yells with Rudy. We watched out for their home as they did with ours. A nice, comfortable feeling of trust and friendliness. Virginia will be missed. Our hearts go out to Rudy and the rest of her family.

It was my privilege and honor to be involved w/ Virginia and her family as she completed her earthly journey. She kept to herself her pain but had a determination to do this her way and truly showed in the end just what a fighter she was. It's obvious from the deep love and respect showed by her family that she was indeed a wonderful wife and mother.

Virgina was my mentor. She inspired me to workout forever! I remember her to be driven, inquisitive and sharp as a tack! She was always gracious welcoming me into her home on many occasions over the 30 years I had the pleasure to know her and the Smith Family. She was a wonderful 'Lady' to work for which I did for many years at Holiday Spa Health Clubs. I remember fondly the many times members would ask if I was Virginia's daughter. What a compliment! She will be very much missed by all that she knew and touched. She is in a much better place now teaching all the 'Jazzercise Classes' that she desires. I can still hear her voice saying....one....two....three...Now Melissa, Lift those gluts! Be at rest dear Lady. Prayers and condolences to the Smith Family. The Dyer's, Carl and Terry.

To the Smith family. I would truly like to express my condolences to the Smith family and say how much I really liked Virginia and how nice she was to talk to and be around. Although I never really spent much time talking to her she really left a grest impression and I loved her passion for fitness whenever I would see her and Rudy. She was so nice and what a smile.

Lady is one of a kind always playing by her own rules; tougher and more tenacious than almost anybody I have ever met. Lady loved life and it showed. Lady and Rudy are a cute couple, a match made in heaven. Lady and Rudy worked hard to provide a good life for their children, grandchildren, and themselves. Lady had a great life. This year I lost two people I Admire, respect, and love. She and Rudy have always been so kind to me, treating me like immediate family. She will be missed.

Lady truly was a great Lady
2006-08-10

Virginia was such an inspiration to me and such a wonderful fitness leader. She inspired everyone to take care of themselves. She was a loving wife to Rudy and a wonderful mother to her children and a friend to us all. Her smile said it all. She will truly be missed. I thank God for bringing Both Rudy and Virginia into my life. It was an experience and career that will always be close to my heart.

YOU WILL BE MISSED FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BUT YOU HAVE LEFT A LEGACY THAT IS FILLED WITH LOVE. YOU ARE NOT GONE YOU ARE ONLY AWAITING FOR THE NEXT TIME YOU GET TOGETHER WITH YOUR LOVE ONES. I DID NEVER MET YOU BUT YOU SET THE PATH FOR A LOT OF US. MAY GOD'S LOVE FILL YOUR FAMILY HEARTS AND KEEP THEM SAFE UNTIL THEY ARE REUNITED WITH YOU.

The Broken Chain
2006-08-09

I would like to express my condolences and dedicate these words to all of you. "We little knew that morning that God was going to all your name, in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
